Special MCLE Opportunity: “Spotlight on Electronic Discovery: What Every Attorney Needs to Know”:

We are excited to announce a special MCLE opportunity for KCWLA members to help you obtain those last-minute credits and gain some insight into e-discovery. You may not realize that California recently enacted a special Electronic Discovery Act affecting both the preservation and production of electronic stored information. Regardless of your practice area, this program should prove very informative. In order to accommodate a larger group, the program will be held at Klein, DeNatale, Goldner. The address is 4550 California Ave., 2nd Floor (NE corner of California Ave. and Easton Dr. (GemCare building). Park in front of building, north-side entrance, 3rd floor). The presentation is sponsored and presented by eClaris E-Discovery Consultants, a State Bar of California MCLE approved provider. eClaris E-Discovery Consultants certify that the State Bar of California has approved this activity for MCLE credit in the amount of 1 hour general credit. Attendees may either reserve lunch catered by Frugatti’s for $9 or brown bag.

Membership Applications/Renewals are due for your 2010 Membership year. This year, we’ve tried to make it even easier by putting it all on our website. Although we cannot accept payment, please log-on to www.kcwla.org and click “Renew Today!” Please input your personal information so we can update our records and either (1) mail your check to KCWLA, PO Box 691, Bakersfield, CA 93301 or (2) pay at either the E-Discovery seminar or February meeting. The yearly dues are $40.
